Big Ten Teams Actively Recruiting Ohio Safety
Amir Riep has garnered four offers since his recruitment opened up, all of whom reside in the Midwest, close to the three-star safety's home of Cincinnati (Ohio). Illinois is the lone school from the Big Ten who has extended an offer to Riep, along with Toledo, Miami (OH) and Cincinnati.
Riep discussed his recent unofficial visit to Purdue on Sept. 26 with Josh Helmholdt of Rivals.com, about how defensive backs coach Taver Johnson likes his style of play and will continue to keep an eye on him.
Riep was also at Michigan State for the Oregon game, thinking highly of the defensive backs and their ability to collect a pair of interceptions from quarterback Vernon Adams.
The 6-0, 180 pounder will be in Bloomington this Saturday for the Indiana game for another unofficial visit. The Hoosiers are another Big Ten program who's recruiting Riep.
Ohio Tight End Enjoyed MSU Visit
Drew Rosi is the No. 27 ranked junior in the state of Ohio, but that hasn't deterred programs from gaining interest in the three-star tight end. Rosi has two offers from both Illinois and Toledo, and says that a handful of others have contacted him through Twitter and offering invites to games.
Rosi plans on unofficially visiting Penn State, Indiana and the two schools that have already offered this season. That comes after Rosi's latest visit to Michigan State for the Oregon game, calling it a great atmosphere.
Rivals.com reports that both Wisconsin and Notre Dame have also been taking a look at the 6-4, 235 pounder.
