Michigan State Spartans Football: Orange Bowl Bound?

Will the Spartans begin their national championship run in Miami?

Brad Barr-USA TODAY Sports

Well, it was certainly nice for the representatives from the Orange Bowl to come watch Michigan State play in Columbus last weekend.

It's also a reminder that the opportunity to play in the second annual college football playoff is becoming a reality for the Spartans with one game remaining in the regular season.

Win their home finale against Penn State and they're in the Big Ten championship game in Indianapolis, with a likely matchup with No. 3 ranked Iowa. Win that and then it's up to the committee as to whether or not MSU's regular season performance merits a spot in the playoff.
