Joshua King tweeted out his top five schools back on May 8, which included Michigan State, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Southern California.

A week later, it appears that the four-star prospect (Hinsdale South High) is close to making his verbal commitment, as he announced his decision day on June 6, along with the hashtag: Just Wait On It.

247Sports ranks King as the No. 1 prospect from Illinois and the sixth highest rated defensive end in the country, seven spots higher than Farmington Hills Harrison defensive lineman, Khalid Kareem, another heavily recruited junior by MSU.

Another Illinois recruit, three-star safety and wide receiver, Kenney Lyke, also took to Twitter to announce his decision date on May 22, which according to Spartan Tailgate, is the same day as his mother's birthday and will have a ceremony at 3 p.m (EST).

Lyke's top four consisted of MSU, Notre Dame, Baylor and Oregon. He's the 13th overall recruit from Illinois and 36th safety in the nation.
