Fair or Unjust? Mark Dantonio rescinds scholarship from 2016 OT commit Gavin Cupp

Lesson learned for all Michigan State commits: Never attend a Ohio State football camp.

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday morning, three-star offensive tackle A.J. Arcuri tweeted out his recent offer from Michigan State, not long after head coach Mark Dantonio made the decision to pull a scholarship offer from three-star offensive lineman Gavin Cupp.

According to Dave Berk of Scout.com, the reason to move on from Cupp was due to the 6-foot-5, 270 pound lineman visiting Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp.

While Cupp has yet to grab an offer from Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes, the senior has told Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com that it would mean a lot to earn a scholarship offer from the program.

Cupp is the No. 19 overall player from the state of Ohio and No. 48 offensive tackle in the nation by 247Sports. The website also dropped Michigan State's 2016 recruiting class to No. 11 following the removal of Cupp.
