Gavin Cupp wasn't the only Michigan State commit at the time who attended the Ohio State Friday Night Lights Camp more than a week ago. The issue was that Cupp was the only commit who participated in the workouts, hoping to land an offer from the reigning national champions.
Not informing Mark Dantonio of his intentions at the camp didn't sit well with the Michigan State head coach, which prompted the decision to pull the scholarship from the 6-foot-5, 270 pound offensive lineman. The Spartans would later replace Cupp with fellow 2016 three-star lineman A.J Arcuri.
Ohio State offered Cupp six days following the camp on July 30 and five days later, he gives the Buckeyes their 19th commitment from the class of 2016.
Cupp has also received offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, among others.
