Michigan State Favored by 5 Over Northwestern

Reeling Spartans will look for their first Big 10 win Saturday.

It has been a difficult season for the Michigan State Spartans, but if the ship is to be righted Saturday would be a great time to get the turnaround going.

MSU is favored by five over Northwestern, per OddsShark, although the line actually opened at MSU -6.5 so a lot of action is coming in for the Wildcats. One site even has the line down to four.

Northwestern opened with back-to-back losses to Western Michigan and Illinois State. From those depths they’ve recovered a bit, with wins over Duke and Iowa sandwiched around a loss to a resurgent Nebraska.

Kickoff is set for 2:30 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
