Michigan State released their depth chart for this weekend’s game at Maryland (7:30pm EST, BTN). It features a decent amount of changes.

The biggest is obviously at the quarterback position where Tyler O’Connor and Brian Lewerke are listed as co-starters. Mark Dantonio has said Lewerke will play but has not committed to a starter just yet. After last week’s impressive relief performance, it would not surprise to see TO’C get the nod.
Elsewhere, the youth movement continues. True Freshman Justin Layne will get his second straight start at field corner after his pick-six against Northwestern while Vayante Copeland and Josh Butler are now co-starters at boundary corner.
On the defensive line, Mike Panasiuk and Josh King have moved up to second string at their respective positions and Malik McDowell is now starting at defensive end. Finally, Trishton Jackson is now second-string at flanker behind RJ Shelton.
If the Spartans are going to snap their four-game losing streak it looks like the youngsters will have a big say in it.
