The college basketball season is effectively here now that Michigan State and other schools have held their midnight madness events.
On Thursday, the Spartans held their annual media day with the new season approaching fast. Speaking at his annual media day press conference on Thursday, head coach Tom Izzo updated the status of his team, previewed about the upcoming season, and talked about everything else regarding the state of Spartans basketball.
Izzo also updated the injury status of senior forwards Ben Carter and Gavin Schilling, both of whom are out indefinitely and not expected to return anytime soon. Both have needed knee surgery that could keep them out for the rest of 2016 and into 2017.
