The Michigan State will open the 2016-17 college basketball season by facing Arizona in the Armed Forces Classic in Hawaii.
The Armed Forces Classic is a series of I college hoops games that are televised from United States military bases around Veterans Day to honor service members, and it takes place staged at the Stan Sheriff Center on the University of Hawaii campus in Honolulu.
The Spartans enter the new season ranked No. 12 in the AP preseason poll, while the Wildcats enter this game ranked No. 10. Both teams are loaded with young talent that could mature into a Final Four contender as the season wears on, and this will be a great test to open the season.
