The Michigan State Spartans have lost out on a four-star recruit, although there was some talk that MSU may have cooled in its pursuit of him in the last month or so.
Nojel Eastern, a 6-6, 210-pount guard/forward from Evanston, Illinois, chose Purdue over a host of offers which also included Michigan and Ohio State. He’s rated No. 69 in the class of 2017 and had taken multiple visits to East Lansing.
With Eastern off the board, Michigan State will focus on 2017 recruits including 6-7 forward Brian Bowen and 6-10 forward Brandon McCoy, who will visit East Lansing this weekend.
The 2017 class already includes five-star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. and four-star forward Xavier Tillman.
