Spartans forward brings an unmatched level of athleticism.

NCAA Basketball: Battle 4 Atlantis-Wichita State vs Michigan State Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

While we’re all waiting out the long week until the next Michigan State basketball game on Sunday, the Big Ten Network is doing its best to entertain us.

The network’s Shon Morris listed the five best freshmen in the conference, which you can watch here:

The full list is Kevin Huerter of Maryland at No. 5, Tyler Cook of Iowa at No. 4, Carsen Edwards of Purdue at No. 3, Amir Coffey of Minnesota at No. 2 and of course Bridges at No. 1.

“Another guy that’s hurt, but what Miles Bridges brings to the Michigan State Spartans is a level of athleticism that is outstanding even for them,” Morris said of his top pick. “They’ve had some great athletes during coach Tom Izzo’s tenure. He runs the floor well, very unselfish and at any time you can expect him to get to the rim and complete.”

Morris even says Bridges’ injury has a silver lining in that fellow freshman Nick Ward is getting additional minutes.

We’ll take it.
