You can click the link, which says the Flint native is committing to Michigan, if you’d like. The move was widely expected, and gives the Wolverines the state’s top six highest-rated recruits for 2017. He also had offers from Maryland, Iowa, Tennessee and others.
Irving-Bey had taken a visit to East Lansing, but Mark Dantonio and crew will now have to move on to other targets at the position as UM continues its recruiting hot streak.
As of right now, the Spartans have the nation’s No. 28-ranked class, per 247Sports, with 17 hard commits. It’s also the fifth highest-rated class in the Big Ten. Of course, there’s still a long way to go and a lot of recruiting left to do before February.
