The former four-star recruit had moments of brilliance throughout his three-year career, but a rough junior campaign makes his declaration all the more surprising and opens the door for a host of possibilities in the 2017 Spartan secondary.
Nicholson struggled in coverage but at 6’2” 219, has all the physical tools to project to a hybrid outside linebacker/safety role at the next level in the hands of the right defensive coordinator. He accumulated with 200 tackles and four interceptions in his career, including 86 tackles and one pick last season.
