Over the years Mark Dantonio has openly called for his assistants to make more money and Athletic Director Mark Hollis, for the most part, has obliged. This year, it appears very little has changed.

According to a report by USA Today Sports, MSU ranks 24th nationally in total assistant pay. While they do well as a unit, the highest paid of the group, co-offensive coordinator Dave Warner, is only 129th in individual pay ($449,184).
MSU also apparently loves symmetry. The other three co-coordinators, Jim Bollman, Harlon Barnett and Mike Tressel all make $439,434. Offensive line coach Mark Staten and quarterback coach Brad Salem each make $339,686. Finally, wide receiver coach Terrence Samuel and defensive line coach Ron Burton both make $329,687.
The low man on the totem pole is linebacker coach Mark Snyder at $329,686. Only one dollar off. So close. I hope his fellow coordinators each give him some spare change to even the score.
