Dantonio: Michigan State Could Hold Spring Practice in Warmer Climate

The Spartans could be headed south.

Michigan State Spartans Head Coach Mark Dantonio says his program could begin holding spring practice in a warmer climate, according to MLive.com.

"I think it's creative, there's no question about that," Dantonio said, asked what he thought of Michigan holding four practices at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. "From our standpoint, we've never thought to do that, but we're thinking about it nowadays."

Jim Harbaugh came up with the idea at Michigan, and it has SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey all riled up. Dantonio made his comments at the sixth annual Spartan Winter Tailgate held at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids.

Dantonio mentioned Texas and Florida, each laden with high-profile recruits, as possible destinations.

Good idea?
