Aaron Burbridge on the NFL Draft: 'It'll Mean Everything to Me'

Michigan State standout ready to prove himself in the league.

Former Michigan State Spartans standout Aaron Burbridge is projected as a fourth or fifth-round pick in the NFL Draft, but feels he's got what it takes to be one of the league's best. Above, check out his "NFL Dreams" segment from MSUSpartans.com.

The Farmington Hills native played basketball in his early years, taking up football in middle school.

"After school I didn't have anyone to hang out with, so I started playing football just because my friends played," he says. "I ended up being good at it."

The wide receiver got a little bit of a late start, but received lots of encouragement from friends of family. It was around his junior year of high school that his dreams of making the NFL Draft came alive.

He's of course glad he chose Michigan State for his college career.

"I've made a lot of good friends here, made a lot of connections," Burbridge says. "Coming here helped me mature as a man and as a player."

Getting drafted, Burbridge says, will mean everything to him. The thought is surreal.

"Hearing my phone ring, getting that call from one of the coaches or the GM saying 'we picked you,' it'll mean everything to me," he says. "I can't wait for my turn."
