It was a successful NFL Draft weekend for the Michigan State Spartans as the school's five draft picks tied for eighth-most nationally.
While the slide of Connor Cook to the fourth round was disappointing, Jack Conklin was a top-10 pick and five draftees is definitely something to be proud of. In the Big Ten, only Ohio State had more selections.
Here's where the Spartans went:
- Jack Conklin, OT: Round 1, Pick 8, Tennessee Titans
- Shilique Calhoun, DE: Round 3, Pick 75, Oakland Raiders
- Connor Cook, QB: Round 4, Pick 100, Oakland Raiders
- Aaron Burbridge, WR: Round 6, Pick 213, San Francisco 49ers
- Donavon Clark, G: Round 7, Pick 224, San Diego Chargers
The Spartans also had 10 players who will get a shot in the league after signing as undrafted free agents. They are:
-
Jack Allen, C: New Orleans Saints
-
DeAnthony Arnett, WR: Seattle Seahawks
- Arjen Colquhoun, CB: Dallas Cowboys
-
Darien Harris, LB: Cincinnati Bengals
-
Joel Heath, DT: Houston Texans
