Michigan State LB Riley Bullough Named to Lott Trophy Watch List

Award goes to college football's best defensive player.

The Michigan State Spartans will be chasing a lot of trophies this fall, and for Riley Bullough that includes an individual award.

Bullough has been named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list, one of 42 candidates hoping to be named college football's best player "in character and performance."

The trophy has been around for 12 years and the winner's school gets $25,000 in scholarship money. Bullough, a 6-2, 230-pound Traverse City native, is a big leader for the Spartans' defense and was named second-team All Big Ten last season.

He recorded 106 tackles in 2015, and is the third generation of Bulloughs to play at Michigan State.
