Michigan State Baseball Preps for Weekend Series Against Nebraska

Spartans take on Cornhuskers at home Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Michigan State Athletics

We've heard you guys say you want to hear more about Michigan State Spartans baseball, so that's what we're bringing you with this post.

A lot is going right for the Spartans baseball team at the moment. MSU just took two of three from Michigan, the team is back in the Top 25 and Zack McGuire was just named Big Ten Player of the Week.

The team plays Nebraska Saturday, Sunday and Monday at McLane Stadium, with all three games beginning at 1:05 p.m. The weather's finally starting to warm up so I know you're looking for an excuse to get out of the house and don your spring MSU gear. Finals are also over for students.

Michigan State is on top of the conference baseball standings at 13-1, but Nebraska isn't far behind at 9-6, which is good for third place. Cam Vieaux, Ethan Landon and Joe Mockbee are expected as the starting pitchers for MSU in the series.

The Huskers pitchers will be Derek Burkamper, Matt Waldron and Jake Meyers. Nebraska Swept Michigan State in East Lansing last season, so a little revenge is in order.
