This Awesome Michigan State Train Engine Can Be Yours for $600,000

Tailgate in style.

Love the Michigan State Spartans? Love tailgating? Love trains?

If so, you may be interested in this killer deal the school is offering on a train engine built in 1952. The school is looking to get $600,000 for the engine, and is selling apparently as part of an effort to eliminate coal use at the T.B. Simon Power Plant by the end of this year.

While it's a classic, the engine was remanufactured in 2009 and refurbished in 2011. It's garage-kept and the resale value should be pretty high. Local pickup is required, however, and I'm not exactly sure what the rules are for using local train tracks on game day.

Still, this piece is sure to attract a crowd, and if you're a little short on cash the school says all serious offers will be considered.
