Two Spartans are left competing in Eugene today for the Women’s finals of the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
Senior Katie Landwehr qualified for today’s Steeplechase final with a time of 9:59.77 and Sophmore Katelyn Daniels qualified in discus with a career-best mark of 59.52m. They are among 7 Spartan women who traveled to Eugene to compete at Tracktown, USA along with the best track and field athletes in the country.
Among the Spartans who made the trip, three other athletes earned second-team All-America honors on Thursday. For Senior Rachele Schulist (10,000m), this was her third outdoor second-team honor, joining Senior Lauren Chorny (pole vault) and Junior Alexis Wiersma (10,000m) earned their first outdoor All-American accolades, per MSU Athletics.
The full schedule of events is here, but Daniels is set to compete at 6:05pm ET and Landwehr is set to begin at 6:54pm ET. ESPN will begin the telecast live at 6:30pm ET and you can also watch live on the WatchESPN app.
