Michigan State Spartans great and Warriors star Draymond Green has been suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The suspension comes as a result of this low blow on Cavaliers forward LeBron James, which the NBA determined Sunday was a flagrant 1 foul, which triggered a one-game suspension for Green.
The play in question came with under three minutes left in Golden State's 108-97, Game 4 win at Cleveland when Green and James got tangled. James stepped over Green after he fell to the court, and Green swung his arm and appeared to make contact with James' groin area.
James has since been issued a technical foul for the incident, but that's a far cry from what Green was given. The Warriors lead the series 3-1 and can clinch a second-straight NBA Finals title Monday night with a win, which will be harder to come by with Green out.
Earlier in the postseason, Green was assessed a flagrant foul and fined $25,000 for kicking Thunder center Steven Adams between the legs. In addition to two other flagrant fouls Green has accumulated, this fourth flagrant foul is what triggered Green's suspension.
