Mark Dantonio gets a little love from NFL.com as the site named the Michigan State Spartans coach one of the best at developing pro talent.
Chase Goodbread listed his top 16 for 2016, and has Dantonio in the No. 4 slot.
Who’s above him? Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher, Ohio State’s Urban Meyer, and of course, the devil himself, Alabama’s Nick Saban.
Dantonio and Meyer were the only Big Ten coaches to make the list, though both were in the top five, and the only other coach from the region was Brian Kelly of Notre Dame (No. 9).
What makes Dantonio's rank even more impressive is he does it with consistently lower-ranked recruits than the men above and below him. Maybe that will change now that he's established himself as one of the game's best.
