The Big Ten has released its conference basketball slate for the next season, and the biggest news is that the Michigan State Spartans will play the Michigan Wolverines twice in 2016-17.
The rivals met only once last year, with MSU pulling out an 89-73 win in Ann Arbor, but will return to a home-and-home format this time around. Because the conference now includes 14 teams and an 18-game league schedule, it's not guaranteed MSU will play MU or anyone else twice in a given season.
Here is Michigan State's lineup for 2016-17, courtesy of NBCSports.com:
Home/Away: Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue
Home only: Iowa, Northwestern, Rutgers, Wisconsin
Away only: Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Penn State
Dates and times for the games are still TBD.
