On Saturday, the United States women's eight rowing team claimed a gold medal, and they were aided by former Michigan State Spartans rower Emily Regan.
A 2010 MSU graduate and 2010 Big Ten Rower of the Year, Regan is the first former Spartans rower to win an Olympic gold medal.
