Draymond Green will look to become the third Michigan State Spartans to earn gold in men’s basketball when Team USA takes on Serbia today in the gold medal game.

This will also be the final medal game of the 2016 Rio Olympics. Team USA is coming off an 82-76 victory over Spain on Friday. Green has played in all seven games, but is getting limited minutes off the bench while averaging 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game.

Former men’s basketball Spartans who have won gold include Magic Johnson with the Dream Team in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and Steve Smith with Team USA in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Today’s game is set to tip off at 2:45 p.m. ET on NBC, and it will be followed by the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Come talk about it and the rest of today’s action in our open thread.
