Southern Utah Punter Pays Tribute to Mike Sadler

Classy move to honor the late Michigan State punter.

You may have missed this in the scramble of the first real night of college football, but Tate Lewis, the punter for Southern Utah, paid a tribute to late Michigan State Spartans punter Mike Sadler on his arm.

Sadler, a four-year starter and Academic All-American, was headed to Stanford Law School this fall. He died in a car accident during the offseason while returning from a coaching clinic.

The Thunderbirds were on the road against Utah, coming home with a 24-0 loss, but it’s a classy move to honor one of the game’s most colorful personalities.
