You know you want to keep watching more football, even if the season is over. Saturday you’ll have your chance, with an NFLPA Collegiate Bowl packed with former Michigan State Spartans.

Departed seniors Riley Bullough (LB), Jamal Lyles (TE) and R.J. Shelton (WR) will all play in the game and will look to improve their NFL Draft position along the way.

It’s the sixth edition of the game and will be played at Caron, California’s StubHub Center at 4 p.m. EST. FS1 is handling broadcast duties. If you’re curious, StubHub Center is home of soccer’s LA Galaxy and, for now, the LA Chargers.

Anyway, Lyles and Shelton will suit up for the National team, while Bullough is playing for the American team. All three are projected to go in the later rounds of the draft or to try and sign as undrafted free agents.

Bullough was a team captain for MSU as a senior and finished with 6.5 tackles for loss 76 total tackles despite missing three games due to injury.

Lyles recorded career highs in receptions, with 12, and receiving yards, with 145 as a senior in 2016. His best game this year came against Maryland, where he recorded three receptions for a career-high 57 receiving yards, including a season-long 24-yard catch.

Shelton was named team MVP in 2016 and led the team in receptions with 53, receiving yards with 789, and all-purpose yards with 1,377.

This is just one of several college all-star games to take place in the early offseason, with the most well-known being the Senior Bowl. All have the same purpose for players: get picked in the NFL Draft and/or get picked higher.
