Kirk Gibson is a Hall of Famer, just not in the sport you’d initially guess.

This morning the College Football Hall of Fame announced their 2017 class, with Gibson among the 13 inductees. As most visitors of this site surely know, long before he was hitting Home Runs in the World Series, Gibby was a damn good wideout for Michigan State. His 2,347 career receiving yards and 26 career touchdown catches are good for third and fourth all-time at MSU.
Gibby is a part of a pretty impressive class that includes Peyton Manning, Marshall Faulk, Adrian Peterson, Brian Urlacher and, The Old Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier, to name a few. Not bad company!
