One of the few bright spots in the 2016 Michigan State Spartans football season was Donnie Corley, a true freshman who racked up 33 catches for 453 yards and three touchdowns.

As you can see, Corley has been rewarded for his efforts by being named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America team.
The wide receiver, cornerback and special teams player made the squad’s all-purpose slot. He also made the Big Ten Network and ESPN all-freshman teams.
Corley’s yardage at receiver is a Michigan State true freshman record and the Detroit native also had five tackles at corner.
But the best part is that he’ll be back for at least two more seasons in East Lansing.
