The Michigan State Spartans are now 9-1 on the season after a 88-63 win over Southern Utah on Saturday night at the Breslin Center.
The game was a lot closer than expected, as the Thunderbirds kept the game within striking distance into the second half. But once the Spartans got going, they pulled away for a relatively comfortable win.
Miles Bridges scored 17 points, had 11 rebounds and tied his career high with six assists, while freshman Jaren Jackson Jr. had 17 points and tied a career-high with 13 rebounds to lead the Spartans. Nick Ward added 17 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.
