Oh...you thought the recruiting fun was done for this week?! FOOL!
After a solid early signing day period on Tuesday the Spartans received more good news, this one coming for the already-stellar 2019 class. Belleville cornerback and wide receiver Julian Barnett announced his commitment to Michigan State, breaking the news on Twitter.
Barnett’s commitment is huge for MSU as he checks in as the No. 60-ranked recruit in the nation per 247Sports’ composite ranking. He’s also the No. 3-ranked cornerback in the nation and No. 2-ranked Michigan recruit.
The No. 1 guy in the state? High school teammate and offensive lineman Dovantae Dobbs. Coming out of Belleville High School, Barnett will also be joining former teammate Davion Williams, who signed for the Spartans on Tuesday.
The athletic Barnett also held offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Auburn, amongst plenty of others.
Barnett is the third 2019 commit to go green, joining 4-stars Dwan Mathin (quarterback) and Spencer Brown (offensive lineman).
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, Spartans.
