Michigan State commit Donovan Winter will not be joining the 2017 class today.
According to a report by The Orlando Sentinel, Winter was arrested Monday night and charged with burglary and larceny of a firearm. He is still in Seminole County Jail on $2,000 bond.
Mark Dantonio cannot speak publicly about unsigned recruits, so there is no way to tell whether will still seek to make Winter a part of the 2017 class. Michigan State has taken on troubled recruits in the past but as of now, it is hard to picture Winter suiting up in Green and White.
