The streak is alive and now the Michigan State Spartans are gearing up for a big test Friday night when they face the Miami Hurricanes in the NCAA Tournament first round.
Miami opened as a 1.5-point favorite in the Midwest Regional showdown, according to Vegas Insider, and the line has moved to Miami -2 in early betting.
It has been more than four years since the two teams faced each other, with Miami winning 67-59 back on Nov. 28, 2012. The Hurricanes had an up and down season, finishing 21-11 and 7th in the ACC. However, their resume was boosted by impressive wins against UNC, Virginia and Duke.
Michigan State and Miami will face off at 9:20 p.m. Friday at the Bank of Oklahoma Center in Tulsa. TNT will handle broadcast duties. Barring unprecedented events, the winner will face the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the second round.
