MSU Hockey has had a busy offseason, and it doesn’t look to be slowing down. This morning four captains were announced for the 2017-18 season...

Mason Appleton will be wearing the “C” this year, his alternates are (from left to right) Brennan Sanford, Sam Saliba and Carson Gatt.
Appleton is hardly a surprising choice for the captaincy; he led the team in goals (12) assists (19) and points (31), while Saliba was third overall in points (18) and both Gatt and Sanford cracked double-digits with 12 and 10 respectively.
The Spartans are looking to bounce back from their disastrous 7-24-4 record last year and if they plan to do it these four will be a big part of it.
