Sophomore Alex Troop earned himself Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors thanks to stellar performance against the Michigan Wolverines in their last series.
He pitched 8.0 innings and led the Spartans to a 6-1 victory over the top ranked Wolverines during the series opener at McLane Stadium.

Troop managed to have a perfect game going through six innings of work and a no-hitter into the seventh against a very talented Michigan lineup. He ended his night with 10 K (tying his career high) and only allowed two hits.
The award is Troops first of many while wearing the Green and White.
