After months of anticipation, the brackets have been set and the first round matchups have been announced for the Phil Knight Invitational aka PK80.
For those who don’t know, PK80 is a 16 team tournament taking place from November 23-26 in honor of Nike Founder Phil Knight’s 80th birthday. The idea was partially a brainchild of MSU AD Mark Hollis, so naturally MSU is involved.
There are basically two eight-team tournaments taking place so there will end up being two co-champions. The lineups are, in a word, stacked. The “Motion” Bracket is headlined by Butler, Duke, Florida and Gonzaga and includes other well known programs like Ohio State, Stanford and Texas. Here’s that bracket...

On the other side there’s the “Victory” Bracket, where MSU will play. Once again, the field is loaded. In addition to Michigan State, two of last year’s Final Four teams — Oregon and champion North Carolina — and several powerhouses of yesteryear — Arkansas, UConn and Georgetown — are in the field.
