A 6-2, 210-pound linebacker out of Dublin (OH), Boateng is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the 75th-best outside linebacker in and 40th-best player out of Ohio in the Class of 2018. He picked the Spartans while holding offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, UConn, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers, Syracuse and Iowa among others.
Boateng becomes the seventh pledge for the Spartans in 2018, five of which are from the state of Ohio. He’s the lone outside linebacker committed next year, and inside linebacker Edward Warinner is the only other backer part of this class.
