Douglas, who is ranked as the No. 130 offensive tackle in the country by 247 Sports, picked Michigan State while holding offers from Northern Illinois, East Carolina, Buffalo, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan and Bowling Green among others.
Douglas, an offensive lineman from Saline, announces his decision after first receiving his offer from Michigan State over the weekend at the Saturday elite camp. 247 also ranks Douglas as the 46th-best player from the state of Michigan in 2018.
It’s clear by the offer sheet and ranking that Douglas is flying under the radar, but we’ve seen Mark Dantonio develop these kinds of recruits into stars enough to believe Douglas could follow suit.
