Spartan fans, rejoice. In the fall of 2017, you’ll get not one but two chances to mercilessly boo Notre Dame in East Lansing.

In addition to hosting Brian Kelly and the Irish football team on September 23rd, the Spartans will welcome Mike Brey and the Irish basketball team to the Breslin Center as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

The rest of the matchups can be seen here...

As alluded to in the first tweet, we don’t know exactly what date or time this game will take place but we do know it will be in East Lansing.

Even before Brian Bowen made his choice, many were hoping that Michigan State and Louisville, two of the favorites heading into next season, would face off. While they have been left disappointed with the Cardinals taking on Purdue instead, Notre Dame is a heck of a consolation prize.

There’s the obvious history between the schools and the fact that the last time these two met in 2014 — which was the first time since 1979 the schools had squared off — Notre Dame barely outlasted MSU 79-78 in overtime.

Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 59-36, but MSU will be doing their best to narrow that game this season.
