Bryn Forbes cannot be stopped.
That’s been the case in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where Forbes has been putting up absurd numbers for the San Antonio Spurs. His latest outburst came Tuesday vs the Portland Trail Blazers, where he scored 35 points on 11 of 26 shooting (6 of 11 from deep) while hitting all seven of his free throws. Forbes also chipped in five rebounds and four assists.
It’s hard for a guy who barely made his team’s roster to lock up his spot in the summer league, but it’s going to be hard to keep Forbes off the Spurs’ roster this year. It’s getting to the point where Forbes may actually crack the rotation and contribute to a team expected to be among the top 4-6 teams in the NBA next season.
