MSU football 2020, 2021 Big Ten schedules released

Looking at the notables of the Big Ten’s announcement

NCAA Football: Bowling Green at Michigan State Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

Got anything going on in 2020 and 2021? Well, let MSU help fill that schedule with concrete plans.

The Big Ten rolled out conference schedules for 2020 and 2021 Tuesday, and there are some notables for us Spartan fans.

First off, opening the season with Big Ten play against Northwestern (home in 2020, away in 2021)? You know what, sign me up for that. Let's get serious right off the bat with some conference ball. And, let's be honest, it's not like it's Ohio State or Penn State to open up with. A nice Labor Day weekend in Chicago or East Lansing? Fine by me.

More 2020 notables

  • Michigan and Ohio State come to town on back-to-back weekends. Sure, why not?
  • Bye week is Nov. 7
  • Senior night is against Rutgers. East Lansing High School was already booked that day, apparently.
  • With Miami coming in too, that’s absolute gold as far as season ticket packages go.

Aaand 2021 notables

  • GAUNTLET ALERT: At Michigan, home at Penn State and at Ohio State are all in consecutive weekends. Thanks, Big Ten.
  • For three straight years MSU will be ending with Rutgers and Maryland, which is nice if they're looking to roll into Indy (or simply bowl eligibility) with confidence.
  • Welcome back Nebraska to the schedule!

So gang, what are your thoughts on the future schedules?
