The Spartans pick up win No. 1 of 2017.

The Michigan State Spartans are 1-0 after a blowout win over Bowling Green.

Brian Lewerke threw three touchdown passes, and the defense kept the Falcons out of the end zone en route to a 35-10 win. Bowling Green’s two scores came off of Spartans turnovers, but even those mistakes were greatly outshined by a great team performance by Michigan State.

Michigan State marched down the field on the first drive of the game, only for LJ Scott to fumble the ball away near the goal line. The Spartans lost another fumble near midfield later in the quarter, but they finally took a 7-3 lead early in the second on a 7-yard touchdown run by Madre London, and it was a route from there on.
