The Michigan State Spartans are back on the road tonight as they face the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Michigan State is off to one of the best starts in school history, with wins in 24 of its first 27 games this season. Their 24-3 record to start the season is the best start since 2000-01 when they also started 24-3.
Minnesota enters the game on Tuesday night with a 14-13 overall record and a 3-11 mark in the Big Ten Conference. The Gophers are coming off an 80-56 loss at Indiana on Friday night and have lost seven-straight games.
Michigan State probably needs to win its remaining four games to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans also need some help to capture the Big Ten regular-season title, so any slip-up could eliminate them from that race.
The game will be shown live on ESPN2, with Dave Flemming calling the play-by-play and Dan Dakich serving as the color analyst and Molly McGrath on sidelines.
