We haven’t seen the Michigan State Spartans on the gridiron since Dec. 28, when the team in green and white absolutely thrashed the Washington State Cougars in the Holiday Bowl. But football is closer than we think.
We’ll have to hold out for roughly six more weeks, but the Spartans have set a time and date for the annual Green-White Spring Game: Saturday, April 7 at 5 p.m. inside of Spartan Stadium.

The game, which is presented by McLaren Health Plan, will broadcast live on the Big Ten Network, as well as BTN2GO.
Spring practices start on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Several 2018 commits — including the top prospect in the class, Kalon Gervin — have already enrolled at Michigan State and are eligible to play in the spring game. This will provide our first look at the young talent and the team as a whole heading into 2018.
Obviously, there are high hopes for the Spartans next season, returning 92 percent of their 2017 production. The Spartans finished the season at 10-3 and as the No. 15 team in the country, capping off the season with the aforementioned Holiday Bowl victory.
The Spartans also mentioned that season ticket renewals for the upcoming campaign are now available.
So, who’s going?
