The Big Ten season came to an end Sunday, and for Michigan State it was a great day.
The Spartans had already earned a share of the Big Ten championship, but their win Sunday over Wisconsin gave them the outright title and the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. The rest of the bracket, however, wasn’t completed until the very last game of the day.
Now, with the dust settled, MSU knows what the next week at Madison Square Garden in New York will look like. The Spartans will be back on the court Friday, March 1 at noon on the Big Ten Network. They will play the winner of Wisconsin and Maryland, who play Thursday at noon.
If Michigan State can make it passed the quarterfinal game, they will likely play either #5 Michigan or #4 Nebraska on Saturday at 2 pm on CBS Sports. The championship game is Sunday on CBS Sports at 4:30 pm.
Whenever MSU finishes their Big Ten Tournament run, they will wait at least a full week before Selection Sunday determines their NCAA Tournament seed.
