Hold on, I think Foster Loyer just hit another three...
Behind incoming MSU point guard Foster Loyer and his 40 points, Clarkston repeated as Class A MHSAA state champs on Saturday. This game was seemingly over once Loyer hit the game’s opening 3-pointer at his future home gym as the Wolves cruised to an 81-38 win for Clarkston’s second straight title.
Loyer was also recognized as the 2018 Hal Schram Michigan Mr. Basketball winner earlier this week, capping off his high school career with a bang.

Another fun fact (you probably already know this): Clarkston’s head coach, Dan Fife, is MSU assistant coach Dane Fife’s father. Dane Fife was also a Michigan Mr. Basketball award winner back in 1998.
Loyer might not be the only future Spartan winning a state title as 2018 power forward Marcus Bingham and Grand Rapids Catholic Central takes on Benton Harbor at 6:45 p.m. That game will be on Fox Sports Detroit for those looking for something to watch tonight.
