Aloha, Spartans: MSU basketball headed to Maui Invitational in 2019

Bust out the floral shirts, flip flops and sun screen. Our Spartans are heading to Maui, baby.

It was announced the Michigan State basketball team will be in the 2019 Maui Invitational taking place Nov. 25-27. The field will also include Kansas, UCLA, Virginia Tech, BYU, Dayton, Georgia and Chaminade.

Combined, that field has 44 Final Fours and 198 NCAA Tournament appearances among all teams.

This will be the Spartans fifth trip to the Hawaiian tournament, last going in 2010. The best finish the Spartans had was in 1991, where the green and white topped Arkansas in the final.
