The Spartans made it to Saturday’s action after a wild win over Wisconsin in the quarterfinals. Junior guard Matt McQuaid hit a three-pointer with 1:29 left to give Michigan State team a five-point lead, and they held on for a 63-60 win over the No. 9 seed Badgers.
The No. 5 seed Wolverines made it this far thanks to a 77=58 win over No. 4 seed Nebraska in Friday’s action.
Michigan State is ready for revenge after a 82-72 home loss to Michigan earlier this season. The Spartans are 13-0 since that defeat, but all they care about now is being 1-0 vs their hated rivals in the 2018 Big Ten Tournament.
Today’s game will tip off on CBS at 2 pm EST.
