The best players in Michigan continue to commit to Michigan State.

Marcel Lewis – the top-ranked inside linebacker in Michigan per 247Sports – committed to the green and white’s 2019 class on Wednesday via Twitter.

Lewis, who had 88 tackles in his junior season, is also tabbed as the No. 25-ranked inside linebacker in the nation. He also held offers from Iowa, Cincinnati, Michigan and Kentucky, amongst other schools.

The 3-star linebacker out of Clinton Township (Chippewa Valley High School) makes the 2019 class a six-man group now, becoming the second defensive player to join the class. 4-star cornerback Julian Barnett (Belleville) is the other defensive player.

Rounding out the class is 4-star quarterback Dwan Mathis (Oak Park), 3-star offensive tackle Spencer Brown (Walled Lake), 3-star athlete Jordan Huff (Madison, Ga.) and 3-star receiver Jase Bowen (Toledo, Oh.).
